Let me tell you about this website.
This website is built using hand coded HTML5 and CSS3 script. JavaScript is not used. I take advantage of the TextWrangler ide’s built-in FTP functionality to make updates with ease directly from plain-text, so I have no need for a CMS.
I use DreamHost to host my website. They are awesome.
The design for my site is intentionally minimal. I like the idea of text-oriented web design, and I think it works here. I’ve spent a great deal of time working on making the website responsive, so that it looks great regardless of the window size or device being used to view it.
I use Equity (a font by Matthew Butterick) for all text on my website. It is an excellent all-purpose font for both web and print.
